Funds
in Action!

The MJIF is dedicated to helping Jewish believers in Israel get through temporary emergency situations.

Sometimes your check makes the difference between a family remaining in Israel, or having to leave due to financial hardships. Your check can make the difference in a pastor having materials and equipment to minister to the lost, or losing people because there is no one helping him to establish a much needed congregation.

Your check now, no matter the amount, will enable many to get the medical help they would not get otherwise... and your support of God's people in Israel today will supply food, clothing and school supplies to families, and it will let them know they are not alone.

Support God's People
– they need us now!

Zeh nor, zeh nor!  (continued)

“Israel, God's Land... Our Land” by Dorothy N. Solomon, Executive Director, MJIF

Jerusalem bathed in gold at sunsetIsrael. What a familiar name that is to both Jew and Gentile. It is a name well known to believers in the Messiah and the secular man on the street. Although views differ greatly, most people have strong opinions about that Land.

Most people have strong opinions about that Land.

Tel Aviv, Haifa, the Galilee, the Dead Sea and... Jerusalem. Israel is God’s Land, and He chose to give it to Abram and his descendants forever! God’s covenant with our forefather was (is) unconditional. It does not depend on man’s performance or perfection (not Abram’s and not yours or mine), for the only perfect One is He, the One who first made the covenant.

“After the sun had set and there was thick darkness, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch appeared which passed between these animal parts. That day Adonai (the Lord) made a covenant with Abram: ‘I have given this land to your descendants - from the Vadi of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates River – the territory of the Keni, the K’nizi, the Kadmoni, the Hitti, the P’rizi, the Refa’im, the Emori, the Kena’ani, the Gorgashi and the Y’vus.’” [Genesis 15:17-19 (Complete Jewish Bible)]

God reiterates the promise of the Land to Isaac, to Jacob and to the Jewish people throughout the Holy Scriptures. But man... wants Israel for his own purposes, his own possession, his own prize.

A few years ago Binyamin Netanyahu (then Prime Minister) told a Knesset committee meeting that Assad of Syria had just attempted to strike at Israel, confirming reports that Syrian troop-carrying helicopters had approached the Israeli Golan Heights border, but were turned back by Israeli warplanes.

Israel finds herself always on alert.

Today, Syria is once again posturing, proving that Damascus is determined to destroy Israel in one way or another. Syria is a sworn enemy of Israel, as are other Islamic extremist nations.

Israel finds herself always on alert. Surrounding nations sit on ready, waiting for a chance to strike, to find any opening in Israeli security. Israel faces 13 major Arab nations... with her back to the sea. But the enemies of God will not be successful in their desire to possess Israel! It is God’s Land and He has promised the Jewish people that they “...will no more be uprooted from their Land, which I gave them.” [Amos 9:14-15]

We believe God’s promises, for “God is not a human who lies, or a mortal who changes His mind... when He makes a promise, He will fulfill it.” [Numbers 23:19] In the last 50 years or more, God has been gathering His people from the four corners of the world, bringing them back to the Land. He is not bringing them back to pluck them up again!

It is true that most are coming back without the understanding that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah, but many Messianic Jews are also heeding the call to return. They are there to build and inhabit the Land of Israel, just as God has planned from the beginning.

They need us now!

Those of us in the Diaspora (outside Israel) have a special calling as well... that of praying for the ones who have chosen to make Aliyah, and then putting “feet” to our prayers by supporting God’s people there!

Join me in daily prayer that the spirit of grace will minister through us, to the Jewish believers in the Land – they need us now!
