in Action!

The MJIF is dedicated to helping Jewish believers in Israel get through temporary emergency situations.

Sometimes your check makes the difference between a family remaining in Israel, or having to leave due to financial hardships. Your check can make the difference in a pastor having materials and equipment to minister to the lost, or losing people because there is no one helping him to establish a much needed congregation.

Your check now, no matter the amount, will enable many to get the medical help they would not get otherwise... and your support of God's people in Israel today will supply food, clothing and school supplies to families, and it will let them know they are not alone.

Support God's People
– they need us now!

Zeh nor, zeh nor!  (continued)

Quote from Pat Robertson, Chairman, Christian Broadcasting Network

Referring obliquely to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s plan to remove Jewish communities from the West Bank and Gaza, Pat Robertson commented that only God could decide on transfers of biblical land.

‘You don’t make mistakes in Israel...’

Robertson was more direct in warning President Bush against backing any plan to divide Jerusalem. “Bush has no problem with evangelical support, but if he starts up with Jerusalem, he’ll lose it,” Robertson warned. “They’ll start a third party.”

During his speech, Robertson recalled, that on his first flight into Israel in 1968, “the Lord spoke to me and said, ‘You’ve made mistakes in Virginia, you’ve made mistakes in New York — you don’t make mistakes in Israel.’”

“Orange” by Dorothy N. Solomon, Executive Director, MJIF

Orange is everywhere in Israel! Orange streamers on car’s, busses, motorcycles and bikes. Thousands are wearing orange wristbands and orange posters are in the windows of businesses.

What is Orange? It's the color chosen to show that many Israeli’s are NOT in agreement with the “disengagement” of the Gaza Strip!

We drove all over Israel in our little rental car and spoke with many people from Tel Aviv to Haifa, from Tiberias to Be’er Sheva, down to the Dead Sea (Ein Gedi where David hid from King Saul), and on up to Jerusalem. Everywhere people were talking about the “disengagement” from Gaza. Will it actually happen? Will Israel force her citizens to leave the homes, towns and businesses they have built in that region and turn everything over to the Arab Palestinians?

Will you be there for the MJIF so we can be there for them?

Most are upset that PM Sharon has agreed to the disengagement while terrorists are still killing so many Jewish men, women and children. The Israeli people as a whole seem to be resigned to a Palestinian state in the future, but ask why Israel is giving up so much of the land God gave to them... while the Arab Palestinians are not willing to meet them even half way. “We are willing to share the Land, just stop the suicide (homicide) bombings!” Is that asking too much?

Help Needed
While the disengagement is on the minds of the Israeli society as a whole, other pressing issues are paramount in the daily lives of the Messianic Jews in Israel. The goal of the Messianic Jewish Israel Fund (MJIF) is to help alleviate some of the problems that constantly plague the believers there. We want to help make the pain of their hardship more bearable by providing prayer and financial support (both are necessities).

Will you be there for the MJIF so we can be there for them?

Excerpt from “Why Evangelical Christians Support Israel” by Pat Robertson, Chairman, CBN

(The entire speech can be found here: www.patrobertson.com/Speeches/IsraelLauder.asp)

Pat RobertsonYes, the survival of the Jewish people is a miracle of God. The return of the Jewish people to the land promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is a miracle of God. The remarkable victories of Jewish armies against overwhelming odds in successive battles in 1948, and 1967, and 1973 are clearly miracles of God. The technological marvels of Israeli industry, the military prowess, the bounty of Israeli agriculture, the fruits and flowers and abundance of the land are a testimony to God's watchful care over this new nation and the genius of this people.

‘You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people and I will be your God.’

Yet what has happened was clearly foretold by the ancient prophet Ezekiel, who, writing at the time of the Babylonian captivity, declared this message for the Jewish people concerning latter days.

“For I will take you out of the nation; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back to your own land... I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you... to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people and I will be your God. I will save you from all your uncleanness.

“I will call for the grain and make it plentiful... I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine...

“This is what the Sovereign Jehovah says, ‘On the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt. The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it. They will say, “This land that was laid waste has become like the garden of Eden; the cities that were lying in ruins, desolate and destroyed, are now fortified and inhabited.’

“Then the nations around you that remain will know that I, Jehovah, have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate. I, Jehovah, have spoken, and I will do it.” [Ezekiel 36:24 ff.]

‘We believe that God has a plan for this nation...’

Ladies and Gentleman, evangelical Christians support Israel because we believe that the words of Moses and the ancient prophets of Israel were inspired by God. We believe that the emergence of a Jewish state in the land promised by God to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob was ordained by God.

We believe that God has a plan for this nation which He intends to be a blessing to all the nations of the earth.
